FAQ

Everything people ask before they trust us.

Short, honest answers. If yours isn't here, email hello@bouncesolvi.com and a person replies.

How it works

What does "verify" actually mean?

We check the address six ways: syntax and typos, domain exists, domain accepts mail (MX), the mailbox exists (an SMTP conversation with the recipient's server that stops before any message is sent), whether the domain is catch-all, and whether it's a disposable or role address. Then we label it and tell you why.

Does anyone on my list receive an email?

No. Never. The SMTP check ends before a message exists. Nothing lands in an inbox or a spam folder, and nobody can tell you checked.

How long does it take?

About a second per address for most domains. A 100-address run we timed took 95 seconds end to end. Slow or greylisting servers take longer because we retry rather than guess.

What do the labels mean?

Deliverable: mailbox confirmed. Invalid: server said no, or the domain has no mail. Catch-all: domain accepts every address, mailbox can't be confirmed from outside. Disposable: temp-mail provider. Role: shared inbox like info@. Unknown: the server refused to answer in time.

Accuracy

How accurate is it?

For domains that answer honestly (the large majority) the mailbox check is definitive: the server itself told us. Where accuracy drops for every verifier is catch-all domains and servers that block verification; there we say so instead of guessing. We won't quote a made-up "99.x%" because it depends entirely on what's in your list.

Why did a Deliverable address still bounce?

Mailboxes get deleted, quotas fill up, and a few servers accept first and bounce later. Verification cuts hard bounces dramatically; it can't make them impossible. If it happens a lot on one domain, tell us and we'll look at that domain's behaviour.

What should I do with Catch-all results?

Depends on your risk appetite. For cold outreach, many teams send to catch-all addresses at a lower cadence and drop them on the first bounce. For newsletters, most keep them. Either way you decide with your eyes open.

Why do some Gmail addresses show as Deliverable when they're role-ish?

Google confirms mailbox existence directly, so if it says the box exists, it does. Role detection is a separate flag based on the local part (info@, sales@ ...).

Pricing and credits

What's free?

10 checks a day without an account, and 100 credits when you sign up. No card.

Do credits expire?

Add-on credits never expire. Monthly plan credits reset each month.

Am I charged for duplicates or unknowns?

Duplicates in the same request are collapsed first, so no. Unknowns cost one credit like everything else, because the work was done; we keep them rare with retries.

How is pricing structured?

Two plans, both $99 a month: Starter (25,000 standard verifications) and Pro (20,000 with every advanced feature). Volume lives in add-on credit packs that never expire, down to $1,150 per million.

Refunds?

Packs: full refund inside 7 days if under 10% used. Plans: cancel any time, no further charges.

API and integrations

Is there an API?

Yes, one GET per address (or up to 100 per call), JSON back with the same labels as the dashboard. Docs here. Your key is on the dashboard.

Rate limits?

Fair use. Bursts of a few requests per second are fine; sustained high volume should go through bulk. If you need more, email us and we'll size it with you.

Will it plug into Outsolvi?

That's the plan: auto-verify on sequence enrolment and contact import inside Outsolvi. BounceSolvi runs standalone first.

Privacy and security

What happens to the lists I upload?

They're used to verify and to show you your results and history. They aren't resold, merged into any shared database, or used to train anything. Delete your history any time from the dashboard.

Where is my data stored?

On our own servers, encrypted in transit, with nightly backups. We don't pipe your list through third-party verifiers.

Is checking an address legal?

Yes. It's the same handshake every mail server performs when it delivers a message. No message is sent and no personal data leaves your account.
